When was the last time you were asked to create a Development plan for an Economy? We’re sure, Never. This event is carefully constructed to give budding economists a platform to trade their country’s resources and for them to be the architects of their own economies. So closely observe the economies around the globe, acquire what you require and validate your plan for the future.
Be more than just a student of economics; be an economist.

Round 1- Online Elimination
The teams are to submit an abstract on a socio-economic issue. The topic and the rules for the same will be given out on registration.
Abstract:
- Should not exceed more than 500 words.
- Should contain the team’s opinions focusing majorly on the issue’s Economic essence.
- Will be judged on the basis of content and not writing skills.
- The team which manages to present the most impressive abstract would get the given preference while allotting the country.
- A sample prototype will be uploaded on the website to aid the teams to follow the format required.
Development Plan:
- Each of the 6 selected teams would represent a country with a certain economic situation which will be given to them after the teams are selected.
- The teams would prepare their country’s first five year development plan for the entire Economy, with the resources that they have bought from the budget allotted to them. The resources would be invested in a predefined ratio, in the three major sectors of development.
- A prototype of a constructed development plan will be sent to each of the selected teams so that they are able to create their own in the prescribed format and uniformity is maintained.
Round 2
- The teams would come prepared with their negotiation plan for the resources they seek to acquire additionally or sell off and now they will be given time to do so.
- The exchange would take place on the basis of pure barter system- One resource in exchange for another.
- The change in resources will be reflected in the next five years’ development Plan, if any.
Round 3:
- The teams would one by one present their altered development plan in the form of a power point presentation.
Judgment Criteria:
- Feasibility of the plan.
- Least negative impact on the Environment.
- Best (appropriate) allocation of resources.
- Maximum amount of investment managed in each of the fields.
- Minimum amount of resources left unutilized.
- Justification and reasoning about their actions.

- Teams need to carry their own laptops and pen drives to create presentations.
